The Studio

This is where most of the shoots take place! My home studio is in Hollywood and is equipped with a vanity area, a clothing rack with hangers, a steamer, AC and heat.

Outdoor Location

This location is one mile (~5 minute drive) from the studio in Hollywood. It's a quiet public area with amazing lighting. Note that any outfit changes will have to be done in your car or on the street.

*The studio is home to 2 sweet kittIES. If you're allergic to cats, I recommend the outdoor location.

Deposit & Payment

There is a $100 non-refundable deposit that holds your scheduled spot and goes toward the total price of the shoot.

The remaining payment is due on the day of your shoot by zelle, cash, venmo, or card.

How should I prepare for my shoot?

What do you want from this shoot, specifically? The more prepared you are with specific outfits and character ideas, the more likely you will be happy with your photos!

WARDROBE:
It can be helpful to think about the types and roles you are usually cast in. If you're targeting a specific show, pay attention to the wardrobe of the characters you could play, and try to choose options that would fit into that world (you can find photos from the show on IMDB). Try the outfits on and take some selfies to see how they look on camera.

- Layers look great!
- Wearing all black can make you look like a floating head, and white can overpower your skin tone.
-Busy patterns can be distracting, and certain fabrics make the camera go wonky.
-It's best to avoid large logos and labels.
BUT, there are no rules, so don't overthink it. It's always smart to bring lots of options in case something doesn't work on camera.

PREP: Some people find it helpful to prepare an inner dialogue for each character, or "active thoughts" that they can think or speak aloud during the shoot to help get into character. Others like to simply focus on an emotion, or embody a chosen adjective. We can play music, too! If you're feeling a little lost, don't worry, i can gently coach/play with you throughout the shoot and show you the photos as we go along to make sure you're happy.

Also, please don't stress if your skin breaks out before the shoot! Blemishes are normal and so easy to fix with retouching.

Should I hire a hair/makeup artist?

This is a matter of personal preference! Doing your own makeup ensures that you'll look the same in your headshot as you will walking into an audition room. Hiring a professional allows you to relax and focus more on the shoot itself.

If you choose to do your own makeup (or don't want to wear any at all), I highly recommend that you wear moisturizer, bring lip balm, and use a setting/finishing powder to help reduce shine in the photos.

If you hire a makeup artist for a shoot in the studio, make sure they have experience with subtle & natural headshot makeup, and that they're not allergic to cats!

What should I bring to the shoot?

1. Your outfits - bring lots of options! Sometimes fabric looks good in real life but not on camera, so bring backups.
Wear an undershirt if we plan to shoot at the outdoor location and have to change looks.
Also, in case we want to get some wider shots, wear or bring a pair of pants & shoes that you wouldn't mind showing.
2. Makeup & hair products. (lip moisturizer and setting/finishing powder!)
3. Preferred form of payment.

Getting the photos

You will receive an email with a link to your online gallery within 3-7 days of the shoot, depending on how many photos we took. You can easily view, share, and download all the images and pick your favorites for retouching.

Once you've made your picks, the retouched photos will be ready in about a week.

Retouching

My goal is to show you in your best light while still looking completely natural. I soften skin, but don't erase wrinkles, scars, or anything else that gives you character - you are already perfect, beautiful, and unique!

Each package comes with a set number of retouches. Additional retouched images are $20 each.

Rescheduling

Please treat this as a booking and let your representation know, so we don't have to reschedule if you get an audition.

If you must reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours in advance so we can transfer your deposit to a new date. Deposits will be forfeited for cancellations.
